Add-ons for Volunteer Stay
Optional extras a volunteer can add to their stay, on top of the standard terms of the Volunteer Agreement.
Accommodation is free for a volunteer's first month, and beyond that they may stay on at 50% of the space's published nightly rate. Everything below is a separate, optional add-on. A volunteer only pays for what they choose to use.
Casa Umar A.C. is a registered nonprofit, so every figure on this page is a suggested donation, not a fee or a price. A volunteer is asked to donate that amount to cover the actual cost of providing it, nothing is sold and nothing is compulsory.

This covers roughly 7 dinners a week for one volunteer, drawn from 3 different authentic Mexican dishes chosen from the menu below each week. Casa Umar's kitchen cooks the meal once, in one sitting, and the plates are portioned out across the week.

This charge covers the petrol, the driver's time, and part of the entrance cost for the group, depending on where they go. The destination or trip can be worked out with Gracia.

Booked through a local third-party tour provider rather than Casa Umar's own van. This is passed straight through at cost, with no markup. A volunteer is also free to arrange this themselves directly with a provider, at no cost to Casa Umar.
